Piszę w imieniu mojej ukochanej nauczycielki jogi - Gulnaaz. Wspaniałego człowieka, silnej kobiety i wrażliwej nauczycielki.

Gulnaaz ma raka piersi. Dwa miesiące temu przeszła mastektomię. W zeszłym tygodniu rozpoczęła chemię. Przed nią dalsze leczenie. W Indiach tylko najzamożniejsi posiadają ubezpieczenie. Niestety, Gulnaaz za wszystkie zabiegi oraz leki płaci sama.

Od kiedy jest chora, nie pracuje, co oznacza, że nie zarabia. Gulnaaz zaczęła praktykować jogę jako nastolatka. Do dzisiaj nie robi niczego innego. Całe życie pomagała innym. Jej dobre serce, skromność i oddanie uczniom zawsze mnie wzruszało. Teraz też nie narzeka i o nic nie prosi. To ja chcę Jej pomóc.

W Indiach warunki leczenia są inne niż w Polsce. Chorych jest bardzo dużo. System jest niewydolny. Wiele rzeczy pacjent musi sam dostarczyć.

Gulnaaz była kilka razy w Polsce. Zna naszą gościnność i szczodrość. Pokażmy Jej, że nie jesteśmy obojętni.

I WANT OT LIVE - A FUNDRAISING FOR CHEMOTHERAPY

I am writing to you on behalf of our beloved Iyengar Yoga teacher - Gulnaaz: an incredible human being, strong woman and empathetic teacher.
Gulnaaz has Brest cancer. Two months ago she underwent mastectomy and last week she started her chemo journey.
There’s a long way ahead of her and in India only the wealthiest are able to get their insurance.
Unfortunately, Gulnaaz has to pay for all the medical procedures and medication herself.
Since she got sick, she hasn’t been able to work, therefor she's not making any money.
Gulnaaz started to practice when she was just a teenager and to this day she hasn’t worked in any other way.
She spent her life helping others, her kind heart, humbleness and devotion to her students always moved me in a profound way.
She doesn’t complain, neither has she asked for anything, I just want to help her.

In India the healthcare system works very differently to the Polish one.
The system is overwhelmed with the amount of people needing help, so the responsibility of providing many essential things for treatment fall on the patient.

She has been to Poland a couple of times, she got a taste of out hospitality and generosity first hand, let’s show her we are not indifferent.
